FAQ
𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚒𝚜 M𝚒𝚌𝚛𝚘𝚋𝚕𝚊𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐?
Microblading is a semi permanent tattoo. This is the process of applying hair like strokes into the eyebrow to creat the most natural looking brow possible. As microblading heals, it will start off bold and dark but then lightens up to a softer and more natural look.
On average microblading can last 1-3 years depending on the persons skin type. If you naturally have very oily or thick skin, i would not recommend microblading since this service will most likely disappear completely in only just a few months of getting it. For combo or dry skin, you will have longer lasting results.
Microblading can not be done on anyone with the following:
• Anyone Pregnant or Nursing
• Rosacea
•Taking Blood Thinners, Accutane or any other retinoids
• Sun burnt/tanned Skin
If you get botox, laser, facials, peels, tinting and any other kind of facial treatments, they all must be stopped two weeks prior and two weeks after our appointment
How to prep for your Microblading appointment:
•Do not take any medications that may thin your blood such as Aspirin or Ibuprofen
• No tanning for three weeks prior and after your appointment
• No alcohol or caffeine should be consumed the night before or the day of your microblading service
• Any treatments such as waxing, botox, peels, laser, facials etc should be done no later than 2 weeks prior and two weeks after our appointment.
What is Lip Blushing?
Lip blush is a semi permanent tattoo and is the application of color onto the lips. This process gives your lips a more lively look and will appear more shaped and flushed. I have a large selection of lip colors that you can take a look at once coming in for our appointment and we will pick the color that suits your lips the best! A bit different from microblading, this is done with a machine. This machine still leaves no trauma to the skin as we do not go as deep as a regular tattoo. Pain is minimal as we use two anesthetics throughout the process.
For the first 1-2 days your lips will be very vibrant but will then fade to a nice soft color. Your lips can last anywhere from 1-3 years. But there is a chance they can fade even sooner than that time frame.
Things to know before our appointment:
•Leading up to our appointment I suggest you keep your lips moisturized as dry lips wont heal the correct way.
• If you have lip fillers you must wait atleast 1 month before and after getting the lip blushing service done.
• If you have ever gotten a cold sore before you must take a doctor prescribed antiviral medication called Valtrex atleast 3 days prior to our appointment and 3 days after. If the medication is not taken, an outbreak will be triggered by this procedure and will affect how your lips heal.
